Gordon joined Robertson Cooper when the company was founded in 1999, originally as a Consultant and was officially appointed as Head of our Client Relationships Team in February 2011. He has led many major client assignments, ranging from stress and wellbeing audits to resilience building interventions and leadership development programmes. Altogether, Gordon has broad cross-sector experience, gained through working at all levels in organisations up to and including board level. He is a regular speaker at conferences and events, receiving consistently excellent feedback.

Qualifications and experience

A Chartered Occupational Psychologist, Gordon has a first degree in Psychology from The Open University, an MSc in Organisational Psychology from UMIST and an MBA from Warwick Business School.

Prior to joining Robertson Cooper Gordon was a Principal Consultant with PA Consulting Group’s HR Consulting Practice. He has also worked for a psychometric test publisher (ASE) and for an industrial safety consultancy. His work with the latter included human error projects and the design and implementation of a safety management system audit approach for major hazard sites.

Outside the office

Gordon is a keen walker and a somewhat less keen runner. He is also something of a dancer – Ballroom and Latin – but is years away from turning professional. He also enjoys watching football and horse racing and would like to be Bruce Springsteen.
